Wax rose (Anemonia viridis)

nemonia viridis, also called wax roses, are a special, odd one out when it comes to anemones. And that for several reasons.

North Sea divers might have encountered this anemone species. Wax roses are becoming increasingly common in our relatively cold North Sea. However, they also do well in the warmer waters of the tropical marine aquarium.

Wax roses remain quite small (about 8 centimeters) and move very little, unlike many other anemones. But above all, they have a special color scheme with a yellow-gold to bright green overtone, depending on the exact lighting setting. But if you look closely, you will see many more colors.
