A Sicce SDC pump is maintenance-free and very quiet. The pre-chamber can be removed without tools, allowing access to the pump for cleaning and inspection. We have found that the easier something is to maintain the more likely we are to do it, and with maintenance that is the key to successful aquarium keeping.
Sicce is known for producing an extremely quiet pump, but the SDC is on a whole new level. Each SDC has a polished ceramic shaft and bearings that minimize potential vibration. Together with Sicces newly designed rubber feet that help reduce noise.
Heat reduction
Sicce has a patented hydraulic design for their SDC pumps that helps prevent heat, along with high quality components that go into each pump. They also have forced internal recirculation which helps promote less heat transfer.
