Tidal ™ Power Filters are designed from the ground up to provide your aquarium with high-quality, comprehensive filtration. They are easy to use and adapt to different aquarium conditions. With a host of features, including a self-priming pump, dual water inlet with surface skimmer, adjustable flow, maintenance monitor, self-cleaning impeller and a filter basket that can hold filtration media - and much more - Tidal ™ Power Filters are designed to provide the highest water quality deliver with maximum versatility and ease of use. They are suitable for a wide variety of aquarium setups from salt water to fresh water, ranging in size from 55 gallons to 110 gallons. All Tidal ™ filters have a 3-year warranty that can be extended to 5 years by registering your filter.

Innovative design

• Ventilation slots in the filter cover and aeration grooves in the outflow ensure that the water returned to the tank is fully oxygenated and maximizes gas exchange during filtration.
• The pump pushes water up into the filter basket, passes through the bottom of the basket and is pushed out. A bottom-to-top flow ensures that water comes into contact with all filter media and cannot circulate around filter media like suspension filters with a back-to-front flow.
• The pump is also insulated and quiet, making it great for office or dining room aquariums, and has extremely low power consumption for the amount of output - the large Tidal 110 filter uses only 12 watts.
• Over time, filtration media can become clogged with debris and prevent water from flowing through it. When this happens in the tidal filter, water is passed around the filter and back into the aquarium through a side drain. When this happens, the diverted water pushes up the blue maintenance monitor on top of the filter, letting the aquarium guard know to clean the filter media.
• The hive is designed with raised slots that trap debris instead of dropping it through the filter when the flow is stopped.
• A heater can be mounted on the side with an optional heating clamp, which allows the heated water to be better distributed throughout the aquarium.

Versatile

• The adjustable telescopic inlet allows water to be pumped from any level of the tank without having to stop the filter or bother with spare parts.
• Double water intake. The surface foamer collects the water from just below the surface, where separated fish oils accumulate and remove deeper into the tank and floating debris. A rotary knob on the side of the filter controls how much flow the underwater inlet is relative to the skimmer.
• The flow on the pump is adjustable using the dial at the front, from the powerful full flow of 450 gallons per hour on the Tidal 110 to a gentle 90 gallons per hour on the same filter. Water circulates within the filter, so if the flow rate is turned down, the pump will not wear out or cause problems in the filter.
• The filter basket has tremendous ability to keep filtration media of your choice in the desired configuration (no cartridges)
• A leveler at the bottom of the filter allows the filter to adapt to different aquarium styles.
