By using ultra violet light, the Resun UV unit kills floating algae that make the pond or the (sea) aquarium turbid. The UV unit also kills parasites that make your fish sick.
Killing parasites such as White Spot - Ichthyopphtirius is especially important when you want to keep highly sensitive fish such as doctor fish in your marine aquarium.
In combination with a good filter system you retain crystal clear pond or aquarium water.
