Red Starfish Protein Skimmers stand provides a stable base for elevating your protein skimmer in your sump/sump.
Having the ability to adjust the height at which your skimmer sits in the water can change the way the skimmer pulls air and water into the reaction chamber. Most skimmers have a good spot that works best on your specific tank. By having an adjustable skimmer stand, you can fine-tune the height of your skimmer to get the best possible results on your particular system.
Most skimmers can operate at a variety of depths and from system to system raising or lowering your skimmer in your sump can easily result in better performance and skimate production. Depending on the depth of a skimmer, the characteristics of how air is drawn into the venturi of the skimmer pumps change dramatically.
These stands all have an adjustable height from 10cm to 15cm.
