The Pomacanthus imperator, better known as the angelfish, is one of the most iconic marine aquarium fish. In adulthood, this fish boasts a beautiful, regal color pattern: deep blue hues with yellow accents and characteristic horizontal stripes that make it instantly recognizable.

This majestic reef dweller can reach a length of about 40 cm and therefore requires a spacious, stable aquarium with ample swimming space and hiding places among live rock. The angelfish is generally peaceful, but can exhibit territorial behavior toward its own kind and other large angelfish.
