Nyos Goldpods – Liquid Zooplankton with Calanus

Nyos Goldpods is a high-quality liquid zooplankton concentrate based on the calanoid copepod Calanus finmarchicus. These small crustaceans originate from the pure waters of the Arctic seas and have a size of approximately 2 mm.

Thanks to its high nutritional value and convenient liquid form, Goldpods is an excellent food source for many marine fish, LPS corals and non-photosynthetic corals.

High-quality Calanus copepods

The quality of Goldpods starts with the raw material. Freshly caught copepods are processed using a specially developed method designed to preserve valuable nutrients such as proteins and fatty acids as effectively as possible.

The copepods are also provided with an ultra-thin coating of natural marine components. This helps retain important nutrients in the food until they are consumed by fish or corals.

Ready to use

Nyos Goldpods does not need to be frozen or thawed and can be added directly to the aquarium. This combines the nutritional benefits of zooplankton with the convenience of a liquid aquarium food.

Suitable for marine fish and corals

Goldpods is particularly suitable for animals that naturally feed on small crustaceans and zooplankton.

Many LPS and non-photosynthetic corals may show a noticeable feeding response and increased polyp expansion shortly after feeding.

Feeding recommendations

Nyos Goldpods can be added directly to the aquarium using a pipette or measuring cup. If preferred, Goldpods can first be diluted with a small amount of aquarium water in a separate container and then distributed throughout the aquarium.

• Marine fish: feed sparingly several times per day
• LPS corals: target feed small amounts with a pipette 1 to 2 times per week
• For targeted coral feeding, circulation pumps can temporarily be switched off to allow the corals to capture the food more easily

Storage

Store Nyos Goldpods in a cool, dark place both before and after opening. Keep the container tightly closed after use.
