Bring movement and color to your reef aquarium with Nephthyigorgia, a graceful and elegant soft coral species that stands out for its branching structure and beautiful colors, ranging from deep red to purplish pink. This non-photosynthetic coral sways elegantly with the current, giving your aquarium a vibrant and natural look.
Key Features:
- Graceful movement : The fine, branched polyps dance gently with the current – a beautiful sight in any reef aquarium.
- Colorful Appearance : Available in warm shades like red, pink, or purple, creating a striking contrast with other coral and live rock.
Non-photosynthetic : Does not require lighting for feeding, but does require regular addition of plankton or fine coral food.
Ideal for experienced hobbyists : Due to the specific care requirements, suitable for advanced marine aquarists who have experience with non-photosynthetic species.
Care tips:
- Diet : Feed daily with fine plankton, such as rotifers, artemia nauplii or special coral food.
- Placement : Preferably in a well-drained area of the aquarium, not directly under bright light.
- Water quality : Requires stable water parameters and low nitrate and phosphate levels.
Note: Nephthyigorgia is a sensitive species and requires dedicated and meticulous care. Not suitable for beginner reefkeepers.
