The Lutjanus kasmira, also known as the Bluestripe Snapper or Blue-lined Snapper, is a striking reef fish beloved by aquarium enthusiasts. With its bright yellow body and vibrant blue horizontal stripes, it's a real eye-catcher in the aquarium. In the wild, this species lives in large schools around reefs in the Indian and Pacific Oceans.

In an aquarium, the Lutjanus kasmira provides plenty of movement and color. It is sociable and feels most comfortable in a group of its own kind. It is therefore advisable to keep several specimens in a large aquarium with ample swimming space and some hiding places.
