Isis hippuris is a beautiful soft coral species that appeals to every marine aquarium enthusiast. With its unique, feather-like branching and elegant appearance, this coral is a real eye-catcher in the reef aquarium. This coral originates from the Indo-Pacific region and is known for its robust growth and relatively simple care. Ideal for both beginner and experienced aquarists who want to enrich their aquascape with a natural-looking coral structure.

Unique appearance and natural movement

The Isis hippuris is distinguished by its soft, tree-like branches that gently sway in the current in your aquarium. This creates a lively, dynamic atmosphere and contributes to a natural appearance of the reef. The delicate polyps open during the day, giving the coral a velvety look.

• Feather-like, branched growth habit
• Moves elegantly with the flow
• Perfect as an eye-catcher or as part of a natural reef landscape.

Care and placement

Isis hippuris is a soft coral species that thrives in moderate to strong light and medium to strong currents. This makes it suitable for various locations in the aquarium, from the middle to the upper regions. Ensure there is sufficient space around the coral so that the branching can fully open and be displayed to its full potential.

• Suitable for both beginner and advanced hobbyists
• Places few demands on water parameters, but benefits from stable conditions
• Regular supply of trace elements promotes growth and color.

Ecological value and combinations

In addition to its aesthetic value, Isis hippuris contributes to the biological balance in your aquarium. The coral provides hiding places for small reef inhabitants and microfauna, which enhances the biodiversity in your tank. Combine this species with other soft corals or LPS corals for a harmonious whole.

• Stimulates healthy microfauna
• Combines well with other non-aggressive corals
• Adds structure and depth to the aquascape
