The Theo heating element from Hydor, is a unique heating element for aquariums that uses the exclusive PTC (Positive Thermal Coefficient) technology.
The Theo heating no longer has bimetal, but a very reliable micro switch. The heating coil has been replaced by a virtually indestructible polymer film.
Benefits
- When dry, the heating switches off automatically after 45 seconds.
- Heating pipe does not crack when it is warmly taken out of the water and placed back in the piping hot after a while.
- Maximum safety, because thanks to the PTC and the unbreakable tube, the heating element is resistant to thermoshocks.
- Free placement in the aquarium: vertical and horizontal, also fully submerged.
- Available in different wattages for the most common aquarium sizes.
