The Mastertronic is a new water metering device that has the potential to become the next big thing in the reef aquarium hobby, but what is it and will it benefit you and your aquarium? The Mastertronic is a new water measuring device from Focustronic that, in combination with the Alkatronic, measures and tests the alkalinity, phosphate, nitrate, calcium and magnesium. It also has built-in technology for possible future updates.

Focustronic have chosen what they believe are the best test kits on the market for each water test, ensuring the most accurate test results. With a unique, specialized algorithm and state-of-the-art photometric method, the Mastertronic promises to give you much higher accuracy and consistency than any test kit available. When bundled with the Dosetronic, you have an automated testing and dosing system for your reef aquarium.

• Ability to automatically adjust the Ca and Mg dosage levels in Dosetronic as sometimes even a balanced dosage requires adjustments. This is done through ODA.
• MT passes test data to Solartronic and the user can select automatic intensity adjustment based on PO4 or NO3. This will be a unique feature in our range and not available from other lighting brands.
• When Powertronic is released we will add features to activate on/off or even a timer for the outlets. For example, algae reactor lamp, which is currently running for 12 hours. If the nutritional value (ie: PO4) becomes too low, reduce by 10% to 11 hours).
• For ULNS, the posology of PO4 and NO3 can also be controlled via Dosetronic.
• Expect new function in Dosetronic for daily feeding and can also be adjusted based on data.
• Consider offering an autofeeder for dry fish food. Lower nutrients will automatically increase feeding frequency
