D-D KH Manager E1 Interface Box

The D-D KH Manager E1 Interface Box allows the D-D / Kamoer KH Manager to communicate with up to two D-D P4/P4 PRO dosing pumps or one Kamoer FX-STP pump for automatic dosing control based on measured KH values.

D-D KH Manager E1 Interface Box

The D-D KH Manager E1 Interface Box is an expansion module for the D-D / Kamoer KH Manager. The interface allows the KH Manager to communicate with compatible dosing pumps, enabling dosing amounts to be automatically adjusted according to the measured alkalinity (KH) level of the aquarium.

The E1 Interface Box can be used to connect up to two D-D P4/P4 PRO dosing pumps or to control one Kamoer FX-STP peristaltic pump.

Automatic control via the KH Manager

When used with a D-D P4 or P4 PRO, the KH Manager can automatically adjust the programmed dosing amount following KH measurements. If the measured KH level is lower than the desired value, dosing can be increased. If the KH level becomes too high, dosing can be reduced.

This creates a closed-loop control system that can help maintain a considerably more stable alkalinity level compared with using a fixed dosing schedule alone.

Suitable for multi-element dosing

Control does not have to be limited to alkalinity buffer alone. When using a multi-component dosing system, multiple dosing channels can be linked to the measured KH consumption. This allows supplements such as calcium and magnesium to be adjusted proportionally according to the consumption of the aquarium.

Dosing channels that do not need to be controlled by the KH Manager can continue to operate according to their own programmed dosing schedules.

Connecting D-D P4 and P4 PRO dosing pumps

• Supports up to two D-D P4/P4 PRO dosing pumps
• Allows automatic adjustment of dosing amounts
• A separate data cable is required for each connected P4/P4 PRO
• Data cables are available separately

For this functionality, compatible Cloud versions of the D-D P4/P4 PRO using the Kamoer Remote App are required. The KH Manager and dosing pump(s) must be connected through a router to the same cloud account.

Connecting a Kamoer FX-STP

The E1 Interface Box can also be used to connect a Kamoer FX-STP peristaltic pump to the KH Manager. This is particularly useful for controlling the water flow through a calcium reactor.

Depending on the result of the KH measurement, the KH Manager can switch the FX-STP on or off for a specified period. The pump speed itself can be set directly on the FX-STP.

Please note: a separate data cable is required to connect a D-D P4 or P4 PRO. Two data cables are required when connecting two P4/P4 PRO dosing pumps. An additional data cable is not required when using the interface with a Kamoer FX-STP.
