The TSA Hi-C Cyphastrea (Cyphastrea sp.) is a striking, encrusting SPS coral that stands out for its contrasting colors: a neon (lime) green to teal base with bright orange/red polyps. Thanks to its compact polyp structure and grainy surface, it quickly forms a living carpet over rock and frag plugs—ideal for beautifully filling in transitions and shadowy areas on the reef.

Why choose Hi-C?

• Super fluorescent under blue light (pop effect!).
• Easy to install in lower light areas where other SPS fail.
• A slow grower that creeps evenly over the substrate for a sleek, natural appearance.

Care & placement

• Light : Low to medium (approx. PAR 50–120). Start low and increase as needed; too much light can wash out colors.
• Flow : Light to moderate, diffuse. Avoid direct, strong flow onto tissue.
• Diet : Lives mainly on light and dissolved nutrients; appreciates fine (micro)plankton/LPS food 1–2× per week for extra polyp formation.
• Position : Lower to mid-range, including partial shade. Let it "spread" onto stone for the best effect.

Tips & details

• Acclimatize light gently (photo-acclimation) to maximize color retention.
• Relatively peaceful; short-sweeping. Give it some space so it doesn't overgrow your neighbors.
• Color and sparkle are best achieved under actinic/blue LED (14–20K spectrum).
