Phos Fx consists of porous polymer resin granules infused with iron oxide. The iron oxide bonds with phosphate and silicate as water flows over the beads. Phosphate and silicate control is important in freshwater, marine and reef aquariums for algae control.

Limiting phosphate and silicate helps starve algae and reduce maintenance. Phosphate also binds with calcium and can inhibit calcification in corals.
The porous beads eliminate the degradation and dust problems common with GFO. The spherical beads are especially effective when used in a fluidized bed filter. The uniform granules ensure maximum contact time and removal of nutrients. Phos Fx can be regenerated multiple times with Regen Fx.

Phos Fx is recommended for freshwater, marine and reef tanks to reduce algae growth and control phosphate levels.
