Aquatic Nature's Dekoline has the combined benefits of both visual and functional quality, resulting in an easy, reliable and very fast way to achieve creative, healthy and harmonious aquatic creations.
For all these reasons, traditional aquarium gravel, standard construction gravel, washed river sand, outdoor gravel, blasting sand, etc... are not our first choice for creating our optimal biotope conditions.

All these alternatives contain many substances that are not suitable for our aquarium biotope: in addition to possible dirt and other contaminants, limestone and marble elements, dust can increase the hardness of our aquarium water in an unacceptable way.
For that reason, traditional aquarium gravel must be thoroughly washed and even disinfected by boiling before use.

Multiple rinses are absolutely mandatory.

With the start of the Dekoline Quartz range, Aquatic Nature created a whole new market segment for high-quality decorative aquarium gravel. Raw quartz granules are coated with a high-tech coating that is certified non-toxic (according to DIN / ISO. N ° 38415-6).
This inert sealing of the base material gives the Dekoline Quartz optimum surface properties and makes the whole pH and KH neutral. The quartz granules used have carefully selected characteristics that qualify as Dekoline Quartz basic material with the right composition, colour, quality, shape and grain size.

The aquarium substrate is an essential part of a beautiful and stable aquarium biotope. The granulate substrate in the aquarium forms a complex mix of materials, physical and biochemical processes that actively support the maintenance of a healthy environment for all plant and animal life within our aquarium.
The importance of using a high quality aquarium pebble within this substrate should not be underestimated.

The resulting top layer can be the preferred feeding place or natural breeding ground for our precious aquarium inhabitants.

Hair roots of the plant have no trouble finding their way through this gravel, finding macro and micro nutrients is very easy for the plants.
Water conditions such as pH and kH hardness are not affected by the dekoline gravel.
An ideal aquarium gravel should be chemically inert even in acidic water conditions, free of sharp edges and contain a constant optimum grain size.

Like all good products, Dekoline Quartz has been copied over the years, but never equaled in the excellent quality, natural color range and perfect color retention guaranteed by the special color and coating.
