An ozonator is a device that produces sparks that release ozone. Ozone is a reactive substance that decomposes after a few minutes. The use of the device is based on the reactive nature of ozone.
It is used to keep the water in aquariums clean. The ozone produced dissolves easily in water because the ozone is also a polar molecule. In a special filter section, the ozone reacts with compounds that are difficult to degrade and the water is also disinfected.
