AquaHolland Coralsea Shelf Rock are flat pieces of dead "living" rock. Super porous and high quality. Its super porosity makes it an excellent nesting site for aerobic and anaerobic bacteria, ensuring a stable and balanced marine aquarium.

Perfect for creating beautiful cave formations, protruding plateaus, or a floating reef!

The stone is of course only mined in a reef-friendly way. So no coral reef has been destroyed for this.

Advice when using AquaHolland Coralsea Shelf Rock

Because it concerns dead stone, bacteria are needed at the start to inoculate the stone. There are several good bacterial preparations on the market such as Seachem Stability, Microbe Lift Nite Out, Microbe Lift Special blend, Microbe Lift Balancer and many more. The advice is to let the stone mature for 4 to 6 weeks, after inoculation with bacteria, before placing fish in the aquarium. If desired, feed some fish food at the start so that the bacteria have some nutrition to live on.
