Explanation about Osmosis water

The quality of our drinking water is quite different. The water is either too hard or has a high PH. Tap water contains too many bad substances for our aquarium. An osmosis device is the solution for this. An osmosis device works on the pressure of the water pipe. Tap water that enters your osmosis plant is triple filtered: - first all 'coarse' particles are sieved out of the water. These are lime particles, rust particles, algae, amoebas, worms and other organisms that can be in the water. This is done with a 3-micron filter; - the water is then pressed through the hypermembrane, which retains particles larger than 0.001 microns; - finally, the water flows through an active carbon filter, where almost all chemicals are removed. The pure water that comes out of the osmosis device is no longer in anything. You must therefore mix the osmosis water with tap water until you have reached the correct hardness of the water.

Maintenance

The sediment filter and the carbon filter must be replaced when the water yield is visibly reduced. The membrane must never be allowed to dry and must be flushed every few weeks to prevent bacteria from forming in the water that has been standing still for a long time. (this only when the device is not used for a while.)
