The Ocean Store media reactor is intended for use with various filter media. It works perfectly as a reactor for, for example, biological filter material such as coral fracture, ceramic pipes, but also phosphate absorber, activated carbon and zeolites. Thanks to the outflow at the bottom, relatively little piping is required and the reactor operates quietly.

The Reactor is made entirely of high quality – 100% acrylic, which makes it resistant to damage and discoloration. The color scheme is really fantastic!

We used a silicone seal and cover with 5 sturdy plastic screws that protect the filter from leakage. Acrylic perforated distribution plates are present in the filter to retain the used filter material and to distribute the water flow through the filter material for optimal contact.

The big advantage of this is that there is much less maintenance than with the use of sponges, because these slip quickly due to floating dirt and are a source of pollution.
