The Eheim reeflex UV sterilizer reduces harmful micro-organisms in the water and removes turbidity very efficiently. The reeflex UV sterilizer has a unique, built-in reflector that increases the effective UV-C. You should use the lamp in combination with a filter to optimally remove micro-organisms such as algae and bacteria. The good bacteria in the filter are spared because the UV lamp only fights floating bacteria.
