AquaHolland CO2 solenoid valve, closed without current,

An electro valve or solenoid valve is an electromagnetic device that is used to allow or exclude liquids or gases. This is done by sending an electric current through a solenode or not. A direct-acting solenoid valve consists of a solenode that attracts a soft iron core. At the bottom of this soft iron core is a rubber or other material seal, with a small hole in it that is sealed off by the soft iron core. This core is kept closed by a built-in spring. When the solenode is activated, it overcomes the resilience. The hole is now open and the valve will pass. This only works for valves with small diameters. For large diameters, one has to work indirectly with servo systems.

Too much CO2 lowers the pH value in the aquarium to a level that can be bad for the fish. For the safe use of CO2 in the aquarium, the use of an automated CO2 system is strongly recommended. This can be done by means of a timer or a CO2 controller and a solenoid valve to be connected to the CO2 supply.

The Aquaholland CO2 Solenoid Valve is specially designed for and ideal for use with CO2 systems, closed without current, suitable for air, CO2 and liquids, does not leak, does not hum and does not get hot.
