Unique formula against glass anemones.
Red Sea has launched a new product that has been specially developed to treat the pestanemone (also known as glass anemone) Aiptasia sp. to eliminate without harming other animals in our aquariums.
The existing treatments are often unsuccessful because endangered Aiptasia quickly withdraw into holes in the living stone while releasing their planula (larvae) into the aquarium, which in turn will develop into adult specimens. In addition, any part of the glass anemone that cannot be removed and remains stuck to the living stone can regenerate into a complete anemone. Many treatments can therefore lead to an increase rather than removal of Aiptasia.
Aiptasia-x consists of natural components that, in contact with seawater, form a unique thick, self-adhesive material. Instead of threatening the Aiptasia, the product is recognized as food so that the anemone eagerly picks up and implodes the product without releasing its planula to the environment.
The aiptasia-X package contains a 60 ml bottle with the working product and a set of instruments consisting of a syringe with 2 needles so that even the most difficult to reach anemones can be treated. 60 ml should suffice to treat around 100 Aiptasia anemones.
