Maxspect Nano Tech Anaerobic Block Efficiently removes nitrate from your aquarium

Patented technology specifically designed to encourage the growth of anaerobic bacteria. Anaerobic bacteria complete the nitrification cycle that breaks down nitrate into nitrogen gas, exporting nutrients from the aquarium.

• Suitable for freshwater and marine aquariums.
• 2 Blocks are suitable for approximately 1,000L / 264 Gal
• Use directly in the sump, stack two anaerobic blocks horizontally and place a denitrification catalyst between the blocks as illustrated above.
• The denitrification catalyst will wear out slowly and should be replaced every 2 months.

The nano-ceramic beads in the anaerobic blocks are specially treated with our proprietary technology so that they excel at establishing anaerobic heterotrophic bacteria that thrive in an anoxic environment.

Denitrification is increasingly being used to remove nitrogen from sewage, municipal, industrial and agricultural wastewater to combat pollution. Various types of denitrification reactors and methods are now used and are effective in removing nitrate from agricultural waste and even manure. The Anaerobic-Blocks integrated this technology into a compact package that fits perfectly in your sump.

The anaerobic block should be cleaned or replaced every 6 months for best results, but when cleaning/replacing the old anaerobic block, DO NOT replace them all at once. Clean/replace half of the Anaerobic Block so that enough bacterial colonies remain to regenerate in the freshly cleaned/replaced Anaerobic Block.
