Aqua Medic plankton light reactor PRO
The plankton light reactor PRO has a capacity of approximately 50 liters. It is a simple system for plankton production in a natural food chain. In the plankton light reactor PRO, micro-algae are produced using light, fertilizers and CO2. The microalgae can be fed directly to many filtering invertebrates, or used to grow zooplankton.
The integrated 50 W LED lamp provides sufficient light for good cultivation. If sufficient nutrients are present, the mass of the algae can quadruple in 24 hours. The plankton light reactor PRO is equipped with an air connection with a control valve. A hose, also with a control valve, is located on the reactor for easy partial removal of plankton.
You can grow seawater or freshwater algae, phytoplankton and zooplankton. We recommend our Mistral 2000 II air pump or larger models for aeration.
